If other homes in your area have gone through a roofing upgrade, the owners may have a residential roofing service in mind. Now would be a good time to introduce yourself and ask who they’ve worked with. Tell-tale signs are a gorgeous new roof and or a small sign posted in the yard. 

Facebook groups and community-based apps like Nextdoor are another excellent way to get firsthand recommendations. You can easily ask for roofers who come highly rated, and many folks will be able to provide names and even phone numbers for you to directly contact.

Great roofers earn consistent reviews. And by reading them, you know you’re getting an unbiased perspective on the customer experience and quality of that roofing company. 

Once you know the name of a well-reputed residential roofer in your area, you can check their website, Google Business Profile, or Facebook page to find reviews written by past and present customers. 

Check Their Materials

“A picture’s worth a thousand words.” So are product brand names. If the residential roofing company you’re interested in has a gallery of customer projects on their website or Facebook page, take the time to browse through them. You’ll get a much better sense of what the finished product will look like on your own home, not to mention what kind of options are available. 

Any roofer committed to a truly top-notch job won’t be shy about mentioning which roofing materials they use or who their go-to brands are. Quality matters. So go ahead and send an email asking about their sources if you don’t see it listed clearly on their website.
